Some of the reasons we do this include the seeing our worlds come to life, the buzz of opening an email from an artist to see your 'mad idea' take shape as a piece of art, seeing your hero come to life in a 3d sculpt, tearing open the boxes of finished books fresh from the printers... None of that would really matter in the end if there weren't people out there enjoying our mad ideas though. Of course I love creating, but hearing that someone really enjoyed playing in that world, thought the book was amazing or painted up our cool figures and made them look even more awesome is what really makes my day.
I think a lot of companies forget that it's the fans that pay the bills, that let us keep spinning out dreams, stories, whole galaxies of ideas in to something you can actually pick up and play. The awards are a great reminder that YOU helped us get here. You bought it, played it, loved it enough to vote or nominate or share or Like. We had an amazing start thanks to you all - It's great to see the shocked faces on those who worked so hard to make these books great, to show that we're doing something right. I hope we always remember that each of those awards is a reminder of everyone out there playing, as much as it's us creating :-) In 2013 and 2014 Modiphius won awards for: Achtung!
